Welcome to the NFTA Attractions Group
Attractions are a vital element of any destination experience and I firmly believe the outstanding variety of high quality attractions in our area play a major role in the decision making process of visitors who come to The New Forest. All NFTA attraction members are VAQAS (Visitor Attraction Quality Assessment Scheme) accredited meaning visitors to the New Forest receive high standards of customer care and satisfaction throughout their stay which in turn will hopefully encourage them to return and to whole-heartedly recommend a visit to friends and family.
The Attractions Group works closely with the other sector groups within NFTA (e.g. Hotels, B&B, and Self-Catering groups) and with organisations (NFDC, NFNPA, TSE and The Forestry Commission) realising the importance of supporting each other and working together to promote sustainable long term tourism success for The New Forest.
The Attractions Group meets 4 times a year where we discuss what the trends in industry are, receive updates on the marketing activity of the joint NFTA and NFDC Little Acorns partnership and help to shape future destination marketing activity of the Little Acorns that will benefit the attractions in the area as a whole.
The group also receives regular updates at meetings from Tourism South East and The Forestry Commission to give an insight into the wider environment and to be informed regarding forthcoming opportunities.
